Biteback Media publishing group, which publishes Total Politics magazine, has acquired the Westminster magazine Parliamentary Brief.

Parliamentary Brief was founded in 1992 and throughout its history has demonstrated a consistent commitment to providing its core readership of parliamentarians with highly relevant in-depth analysis and opinion on the key policy issues of the day.

The acquisition was led by Shane Greer, Chief Executive of Biteback. Remarking on the acquisition, Greer explained: “Parliamentary Brief has been on our radar since we launched Total Politics in 2008. As a competitor, I respected the passion that clearly went into each issue. And when the opportunity to acquire Parliamentary Brief came up the decision to act was easy. The acquisition of Parliamentary Brief is the latest development in our on-going commitment to identifying and executing new opportunities to better serve our clients. I look forward to launching the new-look Parliamentary Brief in June and to making our already unrivalled client service even more substantial.”

Publisher of Total Politics, Iain Dale said: “Parliamentary Brief complements our existing operations perfectly and I look forward to us launching the new-look Parliamentary Brief in June. This latest acquisition is another step in Biteback’s growth under Shane’s leadership.”
