Andrea Leasom is the angriest Brexiteer in 'rancorous' cabinet meeting
Leadsom was 'close to tears' according to one account. Just like Esther McVey a few months ago...
Tuesday’s cabinet meeting was a rather heated affair, by all accounts. In The Times, Sam Coates calls it “one of the most rancorous cabinet meetings of recent times”. He reports that Theresa May reluctantly and in a “testy” manner presented ministers with her plans to offer MPs the chance to vote on March 14 to delay Brexit day.
The Telegraph reports that "rifts erupted around the Cabinet table" with born-again Brexiteer Liz Truss hitting out at the "kamikaze" activities of Remainers who want to get a no-deal Brexit ruled out.

According to The Times, “Andrea was visibly quite upset at what happened” while The Telegraph reckons that Leadsom could “barely conceal her anger”. Apparently, the Leader of the Commons also appeared “close to tears” as she lashed out at Amber Rudd, David Gauke and Greg Clark .
It all sounds a bit awkward. Or could it just be that someone in Cabinet likes briefing about women getting emotional? Not long ago, we learned that Esther McVey was reportedly "in tears" after being "shouted" at during a crunch Brexit cabinet meeting…
