Labour has unleashed a number of celebrity backers at a rally in London.

The event was hosted by actor Jason Isaacs who played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.

Also speaking at the rally were Gavin and Stacey star Matthew Horne, former Eastenders actress Michelle Collins, and TV presenters Paul O’Grady and June Sarpong.

But Labour’s new top signing is snooker star Ronnie O’Sullivan who also features - along with Ed - in a snazzy short film released by the party to coincide with O’Sullivan's appearance at the rally.

At the same time, it has emerged that Steve Coogan is to join Labour’s Tom Watson on a ‘save our NHS tour’ next week.

Apparently Coogan and Watson will be visiting various London constituencies early next week. Look out for them in Battersea, Croydon Central, Lewisham Deptford, Bermondsey & Old Southwark, Islington North and South Hornsey & Wood Green.
