The chancellor of the exchequer shows a new side in a message to outgoing 5Live host Shelagh Forgarty

Shelagh Forgarty suffers from an unusual night-time distraction. She has had erotic dreams about George Osborne - not a man normally associated with sending hearts aflutter. Today was her last day as a 5Live breakfast host before she moves to her new luncthime show and the chancellor of the exchequer left her a special message, delivered in a slightly breathy tone.

"Well Shelagh. It's George Osborne here, the Chancellor of the Exchequer. I just wanted to say it's sad to be losing you from the breakfast programme but I know you'll do a great job on the lunchtime programme. It does give you, of course, more hours sleep everyday. More hours for those dreams you've been having. And so I'm sure you'll have sweet dreams and I look forward to being interviewed by you on your lunchtime programme."

But that's not even the most surprising political crush that Shelagh has. She's admitted that she used to dream about Neil Kinnock. Neil Kinnock!
