Total Politics, the monthly glossy political magazine, is looking for a new Political Correspondent to join the dynamic team on this growing title.
We are sent to every politician from cabinet councillor upwards in the UK and cover British politics at all levels, including Westminster, devolved assemblies, European Parliament and local government. Also sold on newsstands nationwide, we’re after someone who loves politics and can capture the serious and not-so-serious aspects of British political life from every conceivable angle.
Reporting to and working closely with the editor, the successful candidate will:
Be either already covering politics, or have an excellent political knowledge and be looking to move into this area
Have excellent existing contacts within politics
Be able to write great features and get superb, imaginative interviews
Be bursting with ideas for the magazine and website
Show a superb understanding of our title and its readership
Be an excellent organiser, able to commission articles and help plan issues
Have great proofing skills
Display an inspiring can do attitude and be able to turn your hand to anything
