Jacob Rees-Mogg calls his new son Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher
The Tory MP has celebrated the birth of his sixth child.
Jacob Rees-Mogg has announced the birth of his sixth child, a baby boy called Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher.
The latest addition to the Rees Mogg clan is the fifth boy after Thomas Wentworth Somerset Dunstan, Peter Theodore Alphege, Anselm Charles Fitzwilliam and Alfred Wulfric Leyson Pius.
The Tory MP and his wife also have a girl who is simply called Mary.
Sixtus was a Roman name and a corruption of the Greek name meaning 'polished'. Five Popes of the Roman Catholic Church have been called Sixtus.
Rees Mogg broke the news on Instagram: "Helena and I announce with great joy that we have a baby Sixtus Dominic Boniface Christopher, a brother for Peter, Mary, Thomas, Anselm and Alfred."
After making the announcement on social media, Rees Mogg was quickly inundated with comments from well-wishers, one of whom suggested that the Rees Mogg boys could be new Jackson 5: "Now you've got five sons, can we be expecting them to form an upbeat disco group in the near future?"
Other Instagram users made even more outlandish suggestions.
"Congratulations! Hope he enjoys growing up in Downing Street," said one.
Another stated: "Six? There'll be no room left in No.10 when you get there - which you will. Congratulations, Moggy!"
