More speculation that Gordon Brown will go for a general election in 2009 on the Spectator's Coffee House blog and the Telegraph's blog.
Admittedly both sources are right-wing outfits, and could be dismissed as an attempt to derail any early election planning by Labour. However, over the weekend Douglas Alexander, the party's election co-ordinator, was forced to dismiss election speculation as "poll chatter". Never believe anything until it has been officially denied.
