Ed Miliband apparently feels duty bound to support his brother in any Labour leadership election campaign. The Evening Standard's Paul Waugh reckons that leaves Alan Johnson, Harriet Harman, Jon Cruddas, Ed Balls and David Miliband as the likely contenders. Jon Cruddas and Harriet Harman are probably the most leftwing of this bunch, and probably the two who a Conservative government would find easier to take on. We'll have to see whether that calculation makes any difference to who Labour members are prepared to vote for.
