The date that Americans pull the lever or punch the button on the hacked voting machine for the next President of the United States of America draws near. As both candidates try to perform some witch-doctor magic on potential swing states like Pennsylvania, (and you have many people that will argue that the state is so firmly Democrat that it would take Obama being unmasked as the Terminator to swing PA to Republicans) one can plainly tell that this election will be close.
Sure, some of the current polls show Obama by up to 14 points because Sarah Palin is the electoral equivalent of FDA-inspected tomatoes to the centrist political palette, but really, it will be close. Obama seems too un-American to too many swing voters to win so easily. Sure, let’s forget the fact that if everyone in the country registered to vote and actually moseyed on down to their local high-school gymnasiums, Democrat would win every time. And no, I don’t have the statistics to back up that assertion. But it sounds about right. America needs Obama’s speedy spending spree plan like Pol Pot needs a new reign of office. And that is a powerful thing; many Americans agree, just ask them. Not enough though, because as everybody knows, you can’t mess with Oprah, and Oprah can be seen walking down Connecticut avenues in Obama-branded pumps.
Perfect way of following output from the Inde and elsewhere in terms of things happening US election related.
The endorsement of the ordinary man and woman in the street are always said to be important, hence the use of Joe the Plumber by McCain. This video tries to capture many of the tricks that Obama has employed throughout his campaign but also invoking that new star of the campaign.
Following on from Shane's post below.
Imagine my surprise when a video from a US cable news outlet popped into my inbox, containing a news report blaming ME for Barack Obama losing the US election!
It’s absolutely brilliant and is a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) initiative from the Democrat leaning MoveOn.org, an organisation set up in the late 90s to drive people behind particular causes by using the potential of online communities.
You watch it, can’t believe how clever it is, send it on to loads of your friends and probably largely people who wouldn’t want McCain to win.
Ok, ok , I realise I don’t have a vote in this election but if you and me would be motivated to pass this on, imagine how many folk in the US would.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!
