David Cameron is in Chicago ahead of this weekend’s NATO summit, busy meeting Francois Hollande and other world leaders to jolly well sort out the eurozone.

David Cameron appeared outside No10 almost 50 minutes later than expected this morning to deliver his statement on Libya.
He confirmed that the situation in the Libyan capital Tripoli is "clearly very fluid" and that "at least" two of Gaddafi's sons have been detained.

I have just come from chairing a meeting of the National Security Council on the situation in Libya. The latest information is that the vast majority of Tripoli is now controlled by free Libyan fighters, although fighting continues – and some of it is extremely fierce.

At the end of today's press gallery lunch that Amber has blogged about, I got to have a quick chat with Liam Fox.
I asked for his thoughts on European countries' response to the Libyan situation. As a committed Atlanticist, who's just got back from talks with Bob Gates, the US Defence Secretary, does Fox believe that Europe's reaction has proved effective?
