Who would have thought Danny Alexander could do 'hard man'?

Yet, in this morning's Sun, that's exactly his tone as he reacts to the news that comedian Jimmy Carr shelters £3.3m a year in a Jersey tax scheme.

Danny Alexander surprised the press gallery this afternoon by informing assembled journalists that he had more than "red hair" in common with former News International boss Rebekah Brooks.
