Ken Livingstone was moved to tears at the unveiling of Labour's London party political broadcast today.
The Evening S

He described the film was “a tear jerker”.
“It’s an appalling responsibility," said Livingstone.
"The people you saw on the screen represent hundreds of thousands of Londoners who desperately want a mayor who is going to make their life easier in this city.
“It’s a huge responsibility to make people’s lives better over the next four years and that’s why I want to win.”
The show of emotion earnt him a pat on the back from Labour leader Ed Miliband.

So when a Politician does show legitimate feelings at a genuinely moving time the public will be desensitized to it due to the appalling self-obsession of this feeble and shallow excuse of a man.

It was a script including the tear scenario.
All the participants were actors although I would be surprised if they were not after the Duffy episode.

You can tell this broadcast was created by an advertising agency. Hugely better than Boris' promotional video, even though it's come under some scrutiny as to whether the Londoners featured in the spot are actually providing us with 'real' views...
