Today Ken Livingstone has launched his latest campaign video – and this one's on police cuts.

Team Ken describes it as a "hard-hitting" video about victims of crime. As well as the video, there will be Facebook ads, text messages and emails to Londoners about his Police Pledge.

Yesterday, the former Mayor of London launched a pledge to reverse cuts to 1,700 police officers and reinstate sergeants to all 600 Safer Neighbourhood Teams if he wins.

Although the video contains some rather irritating punctuation errors (for a journalist, at least), it gives a clear sense of Ken's latest direction. He wants to fight the London elections on fares and policing.

"Victims of crime deserve not to be voiceless…," says Ken on the video. "If I'm elected on 3 May, I am absolutely determined to make this great city one of the safest cities on earth."
