I never knowingly pass by a secondhand bookshop, charity bookshop or just a table with books at a bring and buy sale. My wife says I am a "biblioholic" who needs therapy!

Of course the internet has been a boon to collectors - search the net, find that obscure, and not necessarily rare book you have been looking for and it can be posted from literally anywhere in the World. But the internet has proved a death sentence for some secondhand bookshops, whilst others say it has given them a wider market place.

But for the dedicated "biblioholic" the internet can never replace the joy of finding a secondhand bookshop and the pleasure of browsing and even finding that much sought after volume at a reasonable price. I have found many an election campaign, especially by elections, made bearable by the discovery of a secondhand bookshop, thus combining business with pleasure.
