Ed Vaizey lifts the lid on the lack of discipline in the Tory ranks
Watch: the former culture minister spoke out on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff.
Writing a few months ago, Liam Fox used the Daily Express to issue a call to arms to his Conservative party colleagues. The international trade secretary called for loyalty in the Tory ranks to make "an overdue and spectacular comeback" and he implored his fellow MPs "to act with an increased sense of discipline".
So how’s that going?
Not so well, according to former Tory minister Ed Vaizey.
Appearing on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff for the second day running, the Conservative MP - who was axed as culture minister by Theresa May - explained why he had not been told off for criticisms of the government’s approach to Brexit that he made yesterday.
"Discipline has completely broken down in the parliamentary party, so no one tells anyone off, because there’s no power anywhere."
